FoU shutdown

 Hi! I'm HarukaSweetieCuddle from Wikia. I'm here to give a few thoughts about the Fandom of Universe Wiki closing.



First of all... why?

Fandom of Universe was closed down for being a vandal hub. Like, literally a vandal hub. At least 20 of the members target the Fandom of Pretty Cure wiki for supposed vandalism, because of, according to various block logs, "making pointless and ridiculous page moves and vandalism". This vandalism was for supposed ripoffs, which they defined as "any character that shared a name with another". So anybody with the word "Amane" in their name was a Amane Kasai knockoff according to them. They did this to my pages a lot, particularly with my characters Yui and Ran. Karyll and GlorysiaMelodyYT were also common targets.


How do I feel?

Well, despite being a member since December 2019, I actually feel pretty good about the wiki closing. Really good. Sure, it means I lost a few characters and Halloween episodes (I barely have any archives of the character Amaya Mizumi), but the XML files exist so I don't care. Besides, FoU has been more than enough controversies.

Besides vandalism, their biggest misdeed was copying pages. The vandals who moved pages on FoPC were the same people who copied Delicious Party one to one (ex. University Adventure♡Pretty Cure), and they almost got into literal legal trouble with a woman named Kat. So not only are they vandals, they're hypocrites.

I also felt like the wiki members were sockpuppets (I even put a chart of who I thought was who), so be careful when talking to a former member.


What's going on with FoU now?

They're trying to reform, and they're doing it really quickly, so I don't think they're changing. They made a wiki called FoU Reborn, but that got closed, they used a week-old wiki called Queen Kokone to reform, but that got closed too. Right now their reform wiki is called The Moxy Show, but I'm not sure how long that will last.

Amane, who I don't remember was associated with the vandalism but was forced into the vandalism group (don't ask), is trying to help the wiki.


Does this video count as being on hiatus? The video is personal drama but it's still a video...
